Emily’s Wedding at Seven Hills Inn in Lenox MA
Emily booked me in advance and then came for her preview session a few months before her wedding. As I did her makeup, I noticed she was looking at me intently, but I didn’t think much of it. She and her husband have two beloved dogs (see photo below!) and so we were swapping canine stories, and in the course of the conversation I told her about my brother’s beasts. When I said one of them was an Irish Wolfhound, she got a funny look on her face, but when I said that other dog was a Tamaskan, she started saying “OH MY GOD!” repeatedly.
At first I thought I’d pinched her with the lash curler, but no – she had finally figured out why I looked so familiar to her: she had just moved from a rental in Arlington that was located directly next door to my brother’s house. Their dogs would play with my brother’s dogs regularly. When she met me, she thought I looked vaguely familiar but couldn’t figure out how she might know me – until I mentioned that my brother was a guy named Jon who owns two pretty distinctive types of dogs!
Talk about an icebreaker! Emily and I got along great, and I loved that she let me talk her into wearing false lashes on her wedding day. The eyes were the focal point of the face, keeping the lips and skin very natural (the better to show off her awesome freckles!)
